Stella Rahola

Born in Barcelona 1980

After a degree in architecture at the School of Architecture in Barcelona ( UPC), Stella Rahola worked in the Peter Zumthor studio ( Switzerland) on the artisan part of architecture: how the treatment of materials and techniques can end up in a poetic result.

Stella studied sculpture at the Massana Design School in Barcelona : speciality porcelaine and glass.

She worked together with the artist Xavier Toubes at the Art Institute in Chicago, also in the Herzog and Meuron Architect Studio and at the European Research Center for Ceramics at Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

Her works have been exhibited in Barcelona, Bilbao, Valladolid, Valencia, Firenze, Limoges, Munich, Chicago and Miami.

She is presently working at the Centre dŽArt Contemporani Piramidon and teaches at the architecture school UPC, both in Barcelona
